Definition
漫漫 is the reduplicated form of 漫, intensifying the sense of 'long' or 'vast'. It describes physical space or time that stretches endlessly (e.g. 漫漫长夜 'long endless night', 大漠漫漫 'vast desert'), and also a person's attitude as carefree and unrestrained (e.g. 生活漫漫 'a carefree life'). It is a literary adjective often used poetically.
