Cubre ambos sentidos: adherencia física (como 粘/粘贴) y depender de alguien para apoyo (como 依赖, pero 依附 implica subordinación). En comparación con 坚守 ('aferrarse a un principio'), 依附 a menudo conlleva un sentido negativo de depender de alguien más fuerte.
