Expressing 'had better' with 最好
最好 is an adverb that means 'had better' or 'it would be best to.' Use it before a verb or adjective phrase when giving strong but polite advice or a suggestion.

Predicate can be a verb or adjective phrase.
Exemples
- 你最好先休息一下。Nǐ zuì hǎo xiān xiū xi yí xià.You'd better get some rest first.
- 你们最好给他打个电话问一下。Nǐ men zuì hǎo gěi tā dǎ gè diàn huà wèn yí xià.It would be best for you to give him a call and ask.
