Using the verb 去
The verb 去 means 'to go' and is followed directly by a place noun to indicate the destination. Unlike English, no preposition like 'to' is needed before the place.
Structure
Subj. + 去 + Place
no word for 'to' is needed
Exemples
- 我去公司。Wǒ qù gōng sī.I'm going to the office.
- 你去洗手间吗?Nǐ qù xǐ shǒu jiān ma?Are you going to the restroom?
- 下午我会去超市。Xià wǔ wǒ huì qù chāo shì.In the afternoon, I'll go to the supermarket.
- 我们现在去公园。Wǒ men xiàn zài qù gōng yuán.We're going to the park now.
- 你去哪儿?Nǐ qù nǎ r?Where are you going?
