Basic comparisons with 一样
To say that two things are the same, use the pattern Noun 1 + 跟/和 + Noun 2 + 一样. The word 一样 means 'the same' and always comes after the second noun. For negation, simply put 不 before 一样 — not before 跟 or 和.

- 我和你一样。Wǒ hé nǐ yí yàng.I am the same as you.
