Expressing "then…" with 那么

Use 那 or 那么 to introduce a suggestion or decision based on the preceding context. It often translates to 'so' or 'then.' Do not use it for a sequence of actions; it indicates a logical conclusion.

    Tā bù tīng, nà wǒ yīng gāi zěn me bàn?

  • 大家都到了,那么我们开始吧。
    Dà jiā dōu dào le, nà me wǒ men kāi shǐ ba.
    Everybody is here, so let's begin.
  • 你说得有道理,那么就这么办吧。
    Nǐ shuō děi yǒu dào lǐ, nà me jiù zhè me bàn ba.

  • 他学过十年中文?他的中文说得很好吧?
