Using 难怪 as a verb
Use 难怪 as a verb to say that someone cannot be blamed for something. It is typically followed by the person who is not to blame, and often preceded by 也 for a softer tone. Be careful not to confuse this with the more common adverb 难怪 meaning 'no wonder'.
Structure

Examples
- 难怪他，他还是个孩子呢，什么都不懂。Nán guài tā, tā hái shì gè hái zi ne, shén me dōu bù dǒng.Don't blame him, he's just a child. He doesn't know any better.
- 这也难怪你，第一次到这个地方还不了解这里的风俗。Zhè yě nán guài nǐ, dì yī cì dào zhè ge dì fāng hái bù liǎo jiě zhè lǐ de fēng sú.No one can blame you for this. It's your first time in this place, and you aren't familiar with the local customs.
- 孩子把爸爸最喜欢的花瓶打碎了，也难怪爸爸为什么这么生气了。Hái zi bǎ bà ba zuì xǐ huan de huā píng dǎ suì le, yě nán guài bà ba wèi shén me zhè me shēng qì le.The child smashed his father's favorite vase. You can't blame the father for getting so angry.
- 如果你一定要晚上弹钢琴，那就难怪邻居抱怨你。Rú guǒ nǐ yí dìng yào wǎn shàng tán gāng qín, nà jiù nán guài lín jū bào yuàn nǐ.If you insist on playing the piano at night, you cna't blame the neighbors for complaining about you.
- 你把给他的礼物给了别人，也难怪他不高兴了。Nǐ bǎ gěi tā de lǐ wù gěi le bié rén, yě nán guài tā bù gāo xìng le.You gave the gift that was supposed to be for him to someone else. You can't blame him for being unhappy.
