非常 (fēi cháng) — very; really

Definition

非常 is a strong, slightly more emphatic 'very' than 很 — good for both speech and writing. Use before adjectives (非常好, 非常高兴); 极 and 十分 are also 'very' but 极 is usually placed after the adjective.
