Definition
推翻 (tuī fān) means to overthrow a government or overturn a decision/charge. Compared to 打倒 (dǎ dǎo), which is more physical and often used in slogans ('down with...'), 推翻 is broader and can apply to abstract things like verdicts. 颠覆 (diān fù) is more formal and implies subversion or sabotage, often with a conspiratorial tone.
